Jack is a visual effects artist. With his hearing impairment, it was difficult for Jack to receive feedback on his work — an important part of the process in the production of visual effects. He was worried that it would be a barrier to moving up in his career.
The Neil Squire Society’s Makers Making Change initiative, in collaboration with the Tikkun Olam Makers (TOM) Alberta group, is holding the first LipSync Buildathon in Calgary, Alberta on August 25th and 26th, in conjunction with the 2017 TOM:Calgary Makeathon.
When Liana started a new position as a facilitator and community teacher, a role in which she helps people find employment, she wasn’t used to long hours sitting down at a desk.
Over the last few weeks, we’ve been hosting a few very welcome guests. A number of Burnaby South Secondary students have been coming to our office a few times a week to build LipSyncs.
