To celebrate the AT Help Desk’s 10th anniversary, we’ve compiled a list of our top ten tips for adopting assistive technology. In 2024, the AT Help Desk celebrates 10 years of serving New Brunswickers with disabilities. Whether you’re working, studying, simply need an assistive technology that makes your life a little easier, or are calling on behalf of a client, student, or family member, anyone can reach out.
A previous participant in Neil Squire’s programs, Judy decided to join the Digital Jumpstart program to learn how to use Dragon Naturally Speaking to use her voice to use the computer, as her arthritis makes it difficult to type.

For over 30 years, Greg worked as a carpenter on Salt Spring Island. Three years ago, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. He joined our Digital Jumpstart program to be able to do more research on the computer and access opportunities that are available digitally, now that he isn’t able to work.
