In celebration of UN International day of Persons with Disabilities, 34 grade 6 students from Ecole Mgr-Martin will build assistive switches and devices with Neil Squire’s Makers Making Change program.
On Sunday, October 17th, the Atlanta Chapter of Makers Making Change, led by Shepherd Center occupational therapist Jasmin Brumby-Smith, closed the Georgia Occupational Therapy Association Conference with a build-a-thon.
Volunteers will be introduced to our Makers Making Change Program, receive insight on our devices, design process and how we update designs once receiving feedback from users. Then they will then be lead through instructions on building Interact Switches.
We are so excited to have McGill University joining Makers Making Change in building devices!
