RBC Foundation Provides National Support for Employ-Ability Program

BURNABY, British Columbia, November 21, 2011 – RBC Foundation (new window) has continued their support of the Neil Squire Society’s Employ-Ability Program for the fourth consecutiveEmploy-Ability Program participants and facilitators year by contributing $20,000. The Employ-Ability Program is a national program designed for Canadians with physical disabilities. The Program provides employment skills enhancement within a flexible, self-paced, and supportive environment.

Funds from the RBC Foundation (new window) will enhance delivery of the Program to 220 persons with physical disabilities across Canada. The Neil Squire Society has been highly successful with their participants in identifying and breaking down barriers to labour market entry or re-entry. 95% of participants will achieve enhanced employability and will be prepared to take the next step of offering their services to society as employees, volunteers, and students.
