Participant speaks to Cubs and Scouts about disability awareness

June 28, 2013

Nicole with the Cubs and Scouts Nicole is currently a participant of the Employ-Ability Program at the Neil Squire Society. Nicole uses a wheelchair and has an assistance dog. Nicole was asked to educate the Cubs and Scouts (new window) about people with disabilities. The kids were intrigued and were able to learn about services, recreation activities and accessible locations for people with disabilities. The Cubs are boys and girls from ages 8-10 and the Scouts are boys and girls from ages 11-14. With the help of Nicole, the Cubs and Scouts were able to earn their disability awareness badge (new window).

Thank you Nicole!
