Despite not experiencing success right away, Nick never gave up. He kept moving forward, applying for jobs and putting in the work that would eventually lead to his success.

Nick applied for a multitude of jobs and landed several interviews but struggled to gain permanent employment. With the help of his job developer, Nick explored different educational and employment opportunities that he was interested in and decided to put effort towards working in the security industry.

Nick took it upon himself to register for a Security Guard Course though the Commissionaires and despite not being in a classroom for many years, successfully passed the program.

He experienced a great deal of apprehension and anxiety about going back to school, but he managed to follow through which is a testament to his perseverance and resolve. With renewed confidence, Nick also decided to update his CPR (opens in a new window)/First Aid (opens in a new window) certification.

Nick was excited to share that he was offered full-time employment as a mobile Security Guard. He attributes his success to never giving up and relying on his support network to help him maintain a positive attitude.

Nick has continued to be an essential employee during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring customer safety and social distancing.
