The Neil Squire Society has partnered with LIFT Philanthropy Partners (new window) to work towards making the world of technology more accessible for people with disabilities.

LIFT Philanthropy Partners is a national non-profit organization that believes vulnerable and at-risk Canadians deserve access to the tools and opportunities they need to thrive in society. Through hands-on management and pro bono contributions from its national network of leading experts and businesses, LIFT supports social purpose organizations to improve their operations, accountability and measurement practices, so they can deliver meaningful, lasting impact in Canada.

“LIFT asks how can they help organizations that they feel are ready to scale and support them in that growth,” said Chad Leaman, Director of Development at the Neil Squire Society. “With LIFT, we did an Organizational Capacity Assessment Tool with both our Board of Directors and senior management. They looked at our strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities to help support our growth.”

In order to expand the reach, impact and effectiveness of the Neil Squire Society, LIFT will work with the Neil Squire Society over two years to build additional organizational capacity, support fund development capacity and implementation, strengthen brand awareness across the country, and enhance the organization’s performance measurement framework.

This includes preparing the organization for the growth of their social enterprise, opportunities to scale operations into the Greater Toronto Area and Quebec, and to capitalize on innovations in Research and Development.

“The primary area they thought would help us would be around fundraising support and growing our fundraising team to help our growth capacity,” said Leaman. “We look forward to working with LIFT to help continue the tremendous growth we’ve experienced over the last five years.”
