This morning, our Prairie Regional Office in Regina, Saskatchewan was trained on how to use the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) machine in their office provided by Canadian Pacific.
Patrick Kippax, Chelsea Osiowy, and Parker Pedersen are the Public Access Defibrillation (new window) (PAD) program contacts when a call comes through for emergency response. The PAD program will send notification to their work phones to respond, and the first one to respond to the call responds to the emergency with a partner.
Although they are the three to respond to public requests, the entire staff was trained on utilizing the AED machine. This will additionally help us support our clients with greater medical needs.
