September 30th is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (new window), a day in which we honour the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities.
Today is also Orange Shirt Day (new window), and by wearing orange shirts today, we commit to the enduring truth that every child matters, every day and everywhere.
Neil Squire is committed to understanding the truths of our shared history, to accept and learn from it and in turn we are determined to contribute to the creation of a better, more inclusive Canada.
All of our staff across Canada have been encouraged to reflect on the day and take part in local ceremonies.
