About Us:
The Neil Squire Society uses technology, knowledge, and passion to empower people with disabilities. Our programs and services connect people with disabilities to appropriate technology, develop their skills, and connect participants to employment, education, or other community engagement.
Job Duties:
- Instruct students through STEM-based activities, including buildathons, 3D printing workshops, CAD modeling workshops, and basic electronics
- Plan, organize, and lead STEM events, ensuring all procedures and documentation are completed, in coordination with your Regional Lead
- Document required statistics in Salesforce CRM
- Time permitting, engineering activities may be undertaken
- Collaborate with the engineering department to develop and update assistive technology solutions
- Update documentation, and prepare devices for posting on the MMC website
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Enrolled in or recently completed a University Engineering Degree
- Exceptional communication, planning, and organizational skills
- Have reliable transportation for travelling to regional events with tools and parts
- Experience with 3D modeling, 3D printing, and basic electronics is an asset
- Located, and able to work within Canada
Additional Information:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with occasional evening/weekend events
- Wage: $25 per hour
- Duration: 4- or 8-month co-op positions available
- Location: Remote Work with regular local travel for events (A Hybrid option may be available if you’re close to a Neil Squire office)
