FabLab Tacoma LipSync Build

July 13, 2017

Makers Making Change (new window) and FabLab Tacoma (new window) have partnered to host a LipSync Buildathon in Tacoma, Washington on Monday, July 31 from 9 am – 3 pm.

This event will emphasize how to use 3D printing and Arduinos (new window) as a practical application in classrooms. Makers Making Change is dedicated to connecting makers to people with disabilities who need assistive technology. FabLab supports this mission and would like to give educators an opportunity to use this curriculum in their classrooms.

In addition to the LipSync build, Washington-based teachers may receive continuing education credits from Pacific Lutheran University (new window). This workshop is practical for CTE instructors, librarians, science teachers, and anyone interested the maker movement. Participants will leave with soldering skills, basic knowledge of how to build circuits with an Arduino, and practical ways to implement 3D design/printing in curriculum.
