Skills Canada will host the Skills Symposium at the 2023 Skills Canada National Competition, in Winnipeg, on May 25 and 26! The Skills Symposium brings together industry, policymakers and educators to discuss and learn more about current issues in the skilled trades and technology sectors.

This year’s theme is: Embracing Adaptability: Navigating Change in the Skilled Trades and Technologies.

Our Director of Innovation Chad Leaman will take part in a discussion on May 26 on how to address accessibility needs in the workplace to make careers within the skilled trades and technologies an option for everyone!

Michael Schmidt, Project Manager: FIRST (Fostering Inclusion in Red Seal Trades), CCRW, and Robin Lorway, Accessibility Services Manager, Skills Canada Nova Scotia, will also take part in the discussion.
