MET Schools Winnipeg – Workshop 3: Switch Build & What’s Next?
April 11, 2024 @ 12:40 pm - 3:00 pm CDT
Event Navigation

In this final Makers Making Change workshop of the series, Met Students will build an assistive switch.
Switches are assistive devices used by people with limited dexterity. They can be used for many purposes including accessing phones, computers, TV set top boxes, adapted toys, and appliances.
Switches can also be used for adaptive gaming, which levels the playing field for gamers with disabilities. The switches in this kit are compatible with the Xbox Adaptive Controller and PC gaming on Windows 10.
Students will also learn how they can use their newly acquired skills to continue to support people with disabilities in their community.
