40 Years of Impact. Over 87,000 persons with disabilities served. And we couldn’t have done it without our participants, staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters.
On Friday, we celebrated the milestone and everyone who has been a part of our journey with a Party in the Parking Lot at our Burnaby Head Office. Friends old and new filled our parking lot for a free barbecue, live music by Digger Dan (new window), and an afternoon to remember.
Thank you to all of our speakers, including representatives from the City of Burnaby (new window) and Burnaby Board of Trade (new window), as well as program participant and musician Roy Forbes, who led the crowd through a song. A huge thanks to RBC (new window), whose staff was on hand to present a $25,000 donation from the RBC Foundation to our Makers Making Change (new window) program.
We also honoured Executive Director Gary Birch, Manager of Research and Development Harry Lew, and Occupational Therapist Katrina Tilley, who joined our organization at the very beginning in 1984.
Thank you to everyone who came out and celebrated with us!
