We were in Calgary for our LipSync Buildathon with TELUS on Friday, October 27. Minister Hehr attended to speak about the role of makers of assistive technology in creating opportunities for people with disabilities.
Summer Street Industries are a dynamic part of Pictou County, Nova Scotia. Their programs, social enterprises and annual events are opening doors for everyone. Summer Street Industries and the Neil Squire Society have teamed up to make great things happen.
On October 27, we’ll be in sunny Calgary for the TELUS LipSync Buildathon. Around 20 TELUS employees will work together to build 20 LipSyncs, supported by Makers Making Change. We will also have the pleasure of meeting The Honourable Kent Hehr, Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities.
Cody is an enthusiastic 15-year-old with autism. He approached Working Together in search of a “real job” so that he could earn some money.
