Digital pens are advanced compact pieces of assistive technology that perform a wide variety of functions from scanning, to converting written text into digital, to acting like a mouse. In today’s e-bulletin, we’re going to look at a recent development in Smart Pen technology: the Live Scribe PDF.
May 27th – June 2nd is National AccessAbility Week, a time to promote inclusion and accessibility and to celebrate the contributions of Canadians with disabilities. We have three big events coming up with TELUS, Microsoft, and Moncton High School.
Harry, our Manager of Research and Development, and Jake, our Mechanical Engineer, are coming down to sunny California to attend the San Francisco Maker Faire and host the Laser Cutting Keyguards workshop.
Anna is a Grade 11 student who is extremely involved in her community. She has been diagnosed with Down syndrome. Anna approached the Neil Squire Society because she wanted to work and had no prior experience.
We will be part of two exciting events during the #BCTECH Summit: a LipSync Buildathon with TELUS and a panel on Inclusive and Accessible Workplaces.
