Makers Making Change is excited to be in the classroom!

Students from Nelson Rural School in Miramichi, New Brunswick will be making Adaptive switches as part of learning about technology and assistive technology during New Brunswick’s Disability Awareness Week (opens in a new window). Students are being provided with tools, materials and instruction from MMC staff and will build over 15 switches during this afternoon event! Many thanks to our partners at the New Brunswick Premier’s Council on Disabilities, and New Brunswick’s Department of Education and Early Childhood Development which allow us to hold amazing events like this.

Big thank you as well to teacher Rebecca Hitchman and everyone at Nelson Rural School for taking on and organizing this event with us. Switches made during this week will be provided to Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation, and throughout New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada.

And if you want to be involved in a build, please get in touch with us at info@makersmakingchange.com (opens in a new window)!
